Welcome to my first blog here at The High Road Agency! I guess first things first, allow me to introduce myself. My name is JJ Webb and I’m the new Creative Producer here. My first day on the ol’ joby job was all the way back on June 26th. I left a job on Daytime Tri-Cities, something I had been doing for the past 9 years, to stretch and get out of my comfort zone and learn new things.
The first couple of days, I’m going to be honest, I was nervous, because I didn’t want to come off as too green. Of course, it is a new job, so I was bound to have a bit of a learning curve to get over. As the days have progressed, I’ve gotten better and better. My good friend Stacey Amos has been patient, and helped me whenever I get stuck using a new editing program or had other general questions about what I was working on. And even though I’ve only been here close to two weeks, I’ve already been involved on no less than 5 projects! I’ve gotten almost three of those complete and reviewed by clients. So far so good!
I look forward to being a part of some amazing campaigns to help promote some of the uniquely colorful cities and businesses that make the area here such a great place to live. I’ve been blessed to call the Tri-Cities area home for most of my 42 years here, and there is nothing I would rather do than help promote my home! It’s a beautiful place with warm and welcoming people. There are amazing places all around here to enjoy the outdoors. We have had a hand in the direction that popular music has evolved in from its beginnings in the early 20th century.
Some of the more popular events in college sports and NASCAR racing have happened right in our own backyard! There is plenty to be excited about living in East Tennessee and I’m happy to be a part of a company with some brilliant people, who have no end to the creativity and professionalism that they bring to every project that they work on.
The High Road Agency is getting ready to get involved in the heart of festival season here in the Tri-Cities. If you’re out and about during one of these events, be sure to say hello! I love meeting new people!
I’ll leave you with my favorite Irish blessings, “May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.”
