What makes a good business idea great?
As I write this blog, I’m going to visit a client in Orlando that has invented a practical yet ordinary piece of fitness equipment. The client has hired High Road Digital to write the business plan for the new fitness equipment.
The primary objective for my client is to attract investors and fund the production of the first several hundred units. The client has put together an advisory board and an attempt to do a “Shark-Tank-like” presentation to uncover key investment and marketing issues that will be critical to the successful launch of the new product.
Shark Tank’s Robert Herjavec says in his 10 business tips that the execution of a new business idea is more important than a revolutionary new business idea itself. He is not a big believer in “create a better idea and the world beats a path to your door.”
As any business owner knows, the devil is in the details when it comes to proper execution of a marketing plan, but seldom is this practiced in the business world. After all, most SMB owners are the producer, manager, and yes – chief marketing officer for their products and services. So, as one might imagine, strategic planning and tracking of marketing efforts is generally an after-thought at best.
But there is a solution and it’s “outsourcing” your marketing plan to professionals that do this for a living-day in and day out. So, if you’re a SMB owner that habitually has new website or social media marketing on your “to do” lists and cannot find the time or possess the expertise, call the folks at High Road Digital. We will start with a digital audit to determine the online visibility of your business, listen to your marketing challenges, and suggest solutions based only on your marketing needs and goals.
