The Grind

The Coffee Café that never was, but turned Gold.

The Grind Coffee Café branding was created for a family in Bristol who had a vision for a coffeeshop in a new downtown business center that never came to fruition through the pandemic. The name “The Grind” came from a brainstorming session when discussing the overall aesthetic of their proposed space combined with the aspect of grinding coffee.

While this project was never finalized, the American Advertising Federation Southwest Virginia adds a special awards to their American Advertising Awards each year dubbed “The Round File” award that is awards to projects that have figuratively been thrown in the trash.
