Loudon County – East Lakeshore National Recreation Trail

Effectively Communicating Trails for Locals and Visitors

Brochure Design

The High Road Agency has been collaborating with Visit Loudon County since 2018. The organization covers tourism for five different cities within Loudon County, Tennessee. With the stunning background of the Great Smoky Mountains and an array of lakes and rivers dotting the landscape, Loudon County, long known as the Lakeway to the Smokies, offers visitors an incredible outdoor experience.

Visit Loudon County wanted to change things up for their 2021 East Lakeshore Trail Map. The goals included:
  • Introducing more color
  • Recreating the trail map
  • Focusing on clarity
We were able to accomplish all of these goals efficiently throughout the brochure. The map was recreated by color coding each trail color, and we also changed up the brochure’s text to make it easier to follow information. This version of the booklet provided more color and created clarity.

Containing a map with color-coded trails, parking notations, and trail mileage, this brochure also features descriptions of each trail, including length, location, proximity to other trails, scenery, and learning experiences along the route.
