Getting Cozy With Facebook

Winter is well underway. The leaves are gone, there’s a chill in the air, and thoughts of snow are everywhere.  For many of us, this means more time at home, bundling up near a cozy fire, and enjoying a nice cup of tea.  Perhaps the time that many of us used to spend reading a good book now translates into watching videos online or spending more time on the computer.

What does this mean for your business?  It means that you should be putting more thought into your marketing strategy because it provides business owners with a greater opportunity to reach potential customers through digital advertising and social media marketing.

How do you make your brand stand out amidst all the other company ads and promotions online and, more specifically, in social media feed? By being consistent with your branding through your content and imagery, you will catch the attention of your followers so that they will readily recognize your content and watch for updates and promotions.  Generate post engagement with established and potential customers by getting them excited about what you have to offer by asking them personal questions that allow them to feel heard.  You can also get more people involved in your social media efforts by offering product giveaways through simple contests.

Bellabeat, a company that offers women’s health tracking products, really stands out in my Facebook and Instagram feed. Their branding is really appealing and consistent so it’s easy to spot their posts and promotions amidst all the content that makes it through the algorithms.  They offered a logoed bag giveaway on Instagram recently, and the entry requirements were simple enough to make it worth my time – follow their profile, like the post, tag and hashtag them in a personal post featuring their product, and them direct messaging it to them.  Just for sharing a picture of how I wear their product, I got a cute freebie bag that will potentially sell more product for them through brand impressions – pretty smart and fun advertising!

So when people are sitting at home in their flannel pajamas and fuzzy socks and spending more time online during these colder months, you can potentially attract them to your brand by putting more thought into your digital advertising by communicating who you are and what you have to offer.  If that seems a little daunting to you, The High Road Agency can help.
