Spooning: Getting the Best Cuddles Out of Social Media

Social Media.  We are all addicted, both from a personal use and business applications.  If your Facebook thread is like mine – interspersed with that one friend who loves the “filter” option on every selfie to videos of cute animals – there is good content, great content, and content that probably should never have been posted.

To grow a business profile page, it’s all about the cuddles… what is the strategy that is going to keep you warm on a cool spring night?  Each social media application has its own following and complimentary advertising options.  They are all different.  Let me repeat, they are ALL DIFFERENT.

The strategy you want to use for a millennial to respond to your ad will be vastly different on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter.  A funny true story, I once spoke about Twitter to a group, and a millennial guest in the audience asked me if it was still open.  I chuckled but in retrospect, the reality was that this question was solid – is it still open?  And to whom?  Clearly not this audience, so another strategy must be employed.

From targeted ads to encourage people to buy a product or visit your website to boosted posts to encourage page engagement, each social media is unique, appeals to a certain demographic and must be tailored to help you achieve your goals.  The best part – the algorithms change – out of nowhere, so partnering with a company like The High Road Agency will help keep your brand on point and pointed in the direction you are trying to go.
